What's to Come on the Second Album

So the first two demos I sent to the drummer for the 2nd album:  A metal song with a Latin/Native American beat and overall vibe titled "City of Gold (Children of the Sun)" based on the legend of El Dorado and the search for it by Spanish Conquistadors.  The other is the ballad "Heart Song" which I did a guitar and voice only version for one of my live living room sessions EPs, but the version on my 2nd album will be a cross between a Scandinavian and 80s metal power ballad.  Yeah, if you thought my first album was "out there" I'm really mixing it up for this one :D

Late Night Thoughts and One of My Favorite Rush Songs

I've been thinking alot about the sensationalism in the media meat market. Why is it that people don't bother to question what they see and hear? Why do they insist on participating in one witch hunt after another because, well, the mainstream media says so? What's wrong with stepping back and saying "wait, there may be more to this than what we are being told"? Why do people denounce those who actually try to get to the root of problems while accepting the words of a media that tends to embellish more than they fact check and as a result, pit people against eachother? What has Marilyn Manson ever done to you? If you don't like his music, you're likely not going to listen to it so why are you letting it affect your life? Do you even know what the music is about? Or are you just going on sensationalism and media meat market witch hunts? Isn't it time we stopped the madness? Isn't it time we stopped the witch hunts? Really, what is it accomplishing?

Four for Four at the International Indie Gathering!

Four for Four at the Indie Gathering??? Yes indeed! In addition to the win for "Driving Nowhere" in the Horror Short Script Category and "The Farm" winning Best Horror Short, "Resolution: A Portrait of Amelia Earhart" won third place in the Short Documentary Category and "Fetish Dolls Die Laughing" won an Honorable Mention in the Horror Feature Category!  I wrote the "Driving Nowhere" script, have music in "The Farm," and act in "Resolution" and "Fetish Dolls."  :)
