New Releases, A Few New Concert Dates
We are almost to the end of 2010. Hard to believe! But, we are closing out this year and bringing in the New Year with NEW RELEASES.
The first release is my holiday single that I recorded with Rockabilly Hall of Fame artist, Chuck Owston. For those of you who have been following me on YouTube, you are aware of my Living Room Session videos. For my second Living Room Session, I had Chuck on as a guest and we performed the song "Greensleeves." We then decided to do an audio recording of the song and release it as a Holiday single. It is my first Holiday single and as a gift friends and fans, it is FREE. So far, the single is available through CDBaby and Reverbnation:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/tiffanyapanandchuckowsto
http://www.reverbnation.com/TiffanyApan
You can also download the song via this mailing and those who recieve the snail mail version of this mailing list will get a free CD copy of the song. If you are on the email list and would like a copy of the single, reply to this message or message us at PoetsLabyrinthMusic@gmail.com . The CD is free and if you would like a signed 6x4 photo of a special winter photo of me taken by Chuck Owston (the photo is optional), we can throw that in for $3.00 . The single will soon be available at other digital retailers.
The "Lost Little Girl (Acapella Version)" digital single that was originally released through Reverbnation is now also available at CDBaby:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/tiffanyapan2
"Lost Little Girl (Acapella Version)" will also soon be available through iTunes, and other digital retailers. My debut album POET is also available now at a 10% discount if you buy more than one copy (stocking stuffers, anyone?). So head on over to CDBaby and take advantage:) The album is also available through iTunes, Shinto Records, and other retailers. CDBaby is where the 10% discount is:)
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/tiffanyapan
Within the next couple weeks, we will be re-releasing the "Ghost EP" digitally via CDBaby, iTunes, Napster, eMusic, Verizon, and other digital retailers. The "Ghost EP" was originally released as a hard copy in 2007 prior to the release of "Poet" and will be available as a digital download for the low price of $2.95 (plus the tracks will be sold separately for 99 cents). The "Ghost EP" consists of 3 songs from "Poet": GHOST, FREE, and GHOST (NETHERREALM REMIX). This EP is great if you want to sample the music from "Poet" or if you want some of the music but happen to be short on cash.
2011 will also bring the release of "Heart Song: The Living Room Sessions EP" to go with the so far well-recieved Living Room Sessions on my YouTube Channel. This EP will constist of 5 songs. Some solo some with guest musician friends of mine. The EP will be released digitally as well as available through a hard copy. Most of the tracks on the EP would have been recorded live during one of my filmed Living Room Sessions and the music is more in the acoustic/folk category. We plan to release it in time for Valentine's Day, but there is no set release date as of yet. We will keep you informed of it's progress:)
Check out my Living Room Sessions and other music videos, vlogs, live performances on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/TiffanyApan
Of course there is "Elements", my second full length album that we will be working on finishing in 2011. Stay tuned:)
We also have NEW MERCHANDISE! We finally have T-shirts available for $20.00, new bumper stickers available for $2.00, new 8x11 photos at $7.00, 14x11 wall photos at $10.00. Wall posters are currently in the works. We will be re-doing my website in the New Year and an official store will be set up with music and merchandise.
Finally we have shows to close 2010 and bring in 2011:

Jan 21 AABC Art Center (The Goth Show II) Butler, PA

Living Room Sessions and New Holiday Single
Those of you who have been keeping up with us on YouTube are probably aware of the new 'Living Room Sessions' we are currently filming. 'Living Room Sessions' consist of broken down/acoustic live versions of traditional folk songs or covers of popular songs performed by myself or occasionally with a musician friend.
The Living Room Sessions so far have consisted of songs 'Crazy Man Michael' and 'Greensleeves' (Chuck Owston was my musician guest for the latter):
For the first time, we are also releasing a Holiday/Winter Season Single. In addition to being able to view the performance via the YouTube Channel, Chuck and I also recorded and produced an audio recording of the song which will be released as a special Holiday/Winter Season single on December 1, 2010. We are also releasing the "Greensleeves" single free of charge as a special Holiday/Winter Season gift to fans. "Greensleeves" will be downloadable via Reverbnation, Last.fm, Mp3, and a few other music websites. Physical copies of the single will be available for a limited time upon request and readily available to those who recieve the snail mail version of my monthly "Messages from the Labyrinth" Newsletter. There is a plan to release two versions of the recording; one studio recording and a live recording of the song.
If you wish to obtain a physical copy of the "Greensleeves" single and are not on my Mailing List, you may send an email request to PoetsLabyrinthMusic@gmail.com
If you wish to obtain the song for airplay on your radio station, you may send an email request to tiffanyapanmusic@gmail.com
Thanks to everyone for the support and watch for the single on December 1:)
Happy Holidays!
Tiffany

Crazy Man Michael cover by Tiffany Apan

Tiffany Apan on "The Girl"
Director: Travis Bowen
Producers/Writers: Eerie Frequency Entertainment/Sound Video Productions, LLC
Role: Kara
Castmates: Ari Lehman, Debbie Rochon, Lisa Neeld, Robert Z'Dar, Mark Cray, Lonni Gary, Kayla Perkins, Matt Jefferson, Scott Cummings, Debra Darnell
Soundtrack Placement: "Whispers" and "Warrior (Soldier For Myself)" off of my 2008 debut, POET
Also on the Soundtrack: Samantha Newark, Misaligned, Gein and the Graverobbers
Synopsis: Christmas Eve wasn't so festive when a disturbed mother of three slashed her husband and two of her children in an old campground. Years later, the surviving daughter falls victim to a random rape, activating painful childhood memories and turning "The Girl" into a murderous freak, inventively killing everyone in sight!
Film Website: http://www.thegirlmovie.com/
My experience with being involved with the film, "The Girl" I have to say is probably the best I've had on a film to date (and this also includes the making of my music videos with our production company, Poets Labyrinth Productions). When Travis Bowen approached me in 2009 via email about getting involved with the film, I was in the process of touring for my debut release, POET. However, I had good experiences working with Travis before on a smaller short film project titled "Doll Nazis Must Die" so I asked Travis some more about the project and it sounded like something I would be interested in. He was interested in having me play Kara, the token goth chick of the group and Jason portrayed Chuck.
The day we filmed was a long day/night/early morning, but it was a blast. I actually did my own makeup for this film and people kept asking if I had someone do my makeup which was cool as I never really considered myself a makeup artist (and still don't); just someone who knows enough to do what's necessary if there isn't a makeup artist on board:D Plus, I feel knowledge of a character also assists with how one does their makeup or has their makeup done for a role. I had also brought a copy of my album to the set since there was also talk of possibly using a song of mine on the soundtrack.
We were able to film the scene in a day. We began in early afternoon and by the time Jason and I were done, it was close to 3 AM. It was fun because we got to reconnect with old friends (Travis, Matt Jefferson who I also worked with on "Doll Nazis") plus made new ones (Film producers and editors Ken and Holly Sechrist, actress and cover model Lisa Neeld among others). The part where Lisa's character attacks me was also one of those one shot deals where it pretty much had to be right the first time around (and fortunatly, it was) so their was a little pressure:D But I have to say, there is nothing like leaving a film set at 3AM wearing a fake flesh wound (courtesy of the special effects department), stopping at a Sheetz, going inside and having those in the store (at this time it was 2 cops and 2 people behind the counter...keep in mind that this was the middle of summer and not around Halloween where it may have actually appeared somewhat normal to be walking around wearing a special effects wound) look at you like they just don't know what to make of the whole thing. Well, I was in the mood for hot chocolate or a cappucino (yes I do eat a largely organic diet but sometimes you just gotta have some good ol' gas station hot chocolate or cappucino as it really does hit the spot) and Sheetz had this chocolate covered pretzel hot chocolate. When I went to the counter to pay for it, I just smiled and acted as though there was nothing out of the ordinary:D :) If memory serves me correctly, I think Jason may have still had on whatever wound he obtained from the special fx department also.
Of course the red carpet film premiere of "The Girl" was a blast and I think we can say everyone (cast, crew, fans) were all pleased with how the film turned out. On top of that two songs from my album were used in the film (and beautifully placed, I will say) AND my childhood dreams of being on a recording of some kind with "Jem" (of the 1980s cartoon "Jem and the Holograms") was also fullfilled as Samantha Newark (the voice of Jem) also has a song on the soundtrack titled "Atmosphere". I can say that this is a film I'm definitly proud of and I look forward to the distribution of the film when others will get a chance to see it:)
