Healthcare Reform?
Whelp, if in 10 years there needs to be an underground cartel for natural medicines (98% of what I use), that's where I'll be.
Meaning I don't go to doctors (save for something like broken bones) and don't intend to start. I've taken care of 99% of ailments on my own for the last almost decade and I'm fine. More fine than I was when I was going to doctors. In fact, I had a couple experiences that where almost downright debilitating and I have no intention of going back to that. I admit that I'm still learning about the ruling and what it all means for people like me, but I'll be damned if I'm going to give up something that has helped me for years instead of going to something that probably could have either killed or handicapped me a long time ago. This isn't necessarily a bitch about me having to 'pay for other people,' it's more of a what happens to our choices...
If anyone has any thoughts or knows what it would mean? I'm open to hearing.

My Soapbox for the Day...
Good Lord...the negativity of people never ceases to amaze me. Why are people so spiteful toward those who may have gotten a break in life? Sometimes it's fair, sometimes it isn't. But instead of focusing on the negative and being bitter and spiteful? How about focusing on yourself and finding a way to help your own cause. I don't think it's fair that people like the Jersey Shore cast gets paid a pretty sum just to walk the red carpet at an event, and yes I'll be the first to vent that there are plenty of talented people out there struggling. But that's also why I started my webzine and am doing other things to help those not in the cool kids club get themselves and their work out there. I'm putting that energy to something positive. I don't know what type of an impact it will have? But being negative, bitter, and spiteful toward others and sitting feeling sorry for yourself is not only counter-productive, but after a while it gets to the point to where you are just as much of a negative energy force as those causing the negativity in the first place. Thus, making it difficult to sympathize with you. Just my two cents.

Indiegogo Campaign for Bus Monitor, Karen Klein
Hey guys,
This indiegogo campaign has nothing to do with me or my projects, but it is something I feel is very important. I'm not sure of how many people are aware of the video that contains a bunch of piece of shit (IMHO) middle school kids brutally harassing a 68 year old bus monitor named Karen Klein. From what I can tell, the campaign is legit and it is to help send her on a vacation or do what she (Karen) wants with the money raised. A kind gesture for a human being who seems to give so much yet take alot of abuse. No one with that kind of a heart deserves that. Karen is a human being. She has a family, friends, and feelings and unfortunatly we live in a society where parents would rather bribe their children than actually BE PARENTS. We live in a world where pretentious, self entitled parents breed pretentious, self-entitled kids. I highly doubt these kids will see consequences for their actions, but we can show Karen support. The video is disgusting if you can even stomach watching it (I actually cried watching part of it). So to those considering procreating: how about parenting your child, teaching them respect for others. And if you can't handle that? Well then it's simple...do the rest of the world a favor and don't have kids.

Shows and Appearances
Hi everyone,
Well, good news and bad news. The bad news is that due to events out of our control, we had to cancel our appearance at the Ghost Excavation Congress and Convention in Brunswick, MD this weekend :( We do hope to make it out there in the near future and/or next year's event. But you should still swing by and check out the event. Info is at http://ghostexcavation.com
I should still be a good time:)
But the good news is that we have a couple more shows added and are in the process of booking two more. The shows added are Chuck Owston's 70th Birthday Concert at the Bryn Mawr Church of Christ in White Oak, PA on July 29 (where I will be performing acoustically with Chuck and a few other musicians) and Eerie Horror Film Festival at the Warner Theater in Erie, PA on October 11-14. That will most likely be a meet n greet appearance, but more info will be given in the coming months.
The widget below offers more details of forthcoming concerts and appearances. Hope to see you guys soon! Stay tuned for a couple more shows to be announced:)
Also check out a new interview I conducted with filmmaker, Scott Goldberg at the Interview section at my webzine, Music's Underworld :)
